Tackling Climate Change On The Local Level

Former Sierra Club Executive Director Carl Pope is shown during a 2006 interview in San Francisco.

Carl Pope, former executive director of the Sierra Club, joins us to discuss his book, Climate of Hope: How Cities, Businesses, and Citizens Can Save the Planet , co-written with former NYC mayor Michael Bloomberg. The two propose taking on climate change's challenges by envisioning them as a series of manageable obstacles. They argue change will only be possible if it occurs on the local level with mayors, activists and concerned citizens.
