Director Hogir Hirori and producer Antonio Russo join us to discuss their acclaimed documentary, "Sabaya," which follows a group attempting to rescue kidnapped Yazidi women and girls being held by ISIS in the Al-Hol camp in Syria.
A note to listeners: Hirori is originally from Iraqi Kurdistan and fled to Sweden in 1999, where he lives in Stockholm. For this interview we’ll be hearing him speak in Swedish and his answers are going to be interpreted by Hanna Valenta.
