Sanders v. Clinton: Who's More Electable?

Democratic presidential candidates Senator Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton participate in the PBS NewsHour Democratic debate at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee on February 11, 2016.

In our ongoing series of debates between Bernie Sanders supporters and Hillary Clinton supporters, we had two guests discuss their "electability." Which candidate is more electable, especially in the face of potential Republican nominee Donald Trump?

The debaters:

  • Joan Walsh: MSNBC political analyst and national affairs correspondent for The Nation, says Hillary Clinton is the more electable of the two candidates on the Democratic side.
  • Katrina vanden Heuvel: editor and publisher of The Nation, makes the argument that Bernie Sanders is more electable.
