Before there was 'Empire', there was August Wilson: Listen to Taraji P. Henson in Wilson's 'Joe Turner's Come and Gone'

The second installment in our 10-play series of dramatic readings tells the story of Pittsburgh boardinghouse owners Seth and Bertha Holly and the makeshift family of migrants who pass through during the Great Migration of the 1910s. Recorded live in The Greene Space at WNYC in 2013, the play was directed by Phylicia Rashad and features Taraji P. Henson in her Wilson debut.
