Watch Live: Brian Lehrer Hosts Public Advocate Forum on Affordable Housing

WNYC's Brian Lehrer moderates tonight's forum

As the "ombudsman" for New York City government, the public advocate plays a crucial role in shaping City Hall's legislative priorities on issues like transportation, housing, and whether Amazon is welcome in Queens. In a special election on February 26, city voters will choose a new public advocate to hold the job until November's general election.

Tonight, WNYC’s Brian Lehrer is moderating a candidate forum focused specifically on affordable housing policy, live from the Christian Cultural Center in East New York, Brooklyn. The forum is sponsored by organizations from the faith and social justice community of the New York City, along with their respective interfaith congregations and grass-roots community institutions.
