Scribes Separated By Centuries In London

Author Rachel Kadish talks about her most recent novel "The Weight Of Ink," the story of two remarkable women in two different times of London.

Rachel Kadish joins us to discuss her latest novel, The Weight Of Ink. The story alternates between London during the 1660s and London during the early 21st century. It connects the remarkable lives of two women scholars, Ester Velasquez, an emigrant from Amsterdam who is permitted to scribe for a blind rabbi, just before the plague hits the city; and Helen Watt, an ailing historian with a love of Jewish history.
