The Forgotten Battle for Labor Rights in West Virginia's Coal Mines

A new documentary by Randall MacLowry and Mark Samels called “The Mine Wars” recounts the story of the West Virginian coal miners who spent 20 years embroiled in a fight for labor rights which culminated with a violent uprising in 1921. The film premieres on American Experience on January 26th from 9:00-11:00 p.m. on PBS.
