We asked Macy’s if we could talk to their famous Santa about what it's like to interact with eager children in the age of Covid. The company replied by email: “Santa is gearing up for the holiday season ahead and is not available for interviews."  

So we said to ourselves, "Fine! We'll talk to Rory Scholl instead — he's been a Santa in New York for 15 years and must have a ton of good stories."
