WNYC held its 10th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration at the Apollo Theater this weekend, co-hosted by WNYC hosts Jami Floyd and Brian Lehrer.

Presented as part of the Apollo Uptown Hall series, this year's event focused on disparity in America by looking at the impact of institutional racism while exploring race and privilege.

• Taylor Branch: author and historian best known for his award-winning book trilogy The King Era, which chronicles the Civil Rights movement and life of Martin Luther King, Jr.
