Wild About NYC: Glass Eels

A student holds a plastic bag of glass eels at the Quassaick Creek May 2013 as part of a project by the NY Department of Environmental Conservation and and Cornell to monitor eel populations.

Every day during the Spring Pledge Drive, we're exploring some of the submissions to the #WildNYC photo project.

Today: Chris Bowser, an educator with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservations's Hudson River Estuary Programs and national Research Reserve, in partnership with Cornell's Water Resource Institute, brings "glass eels" to the studio to discuss The Eel Project and invite volunteers for Friday's events.
