Women in 'Eclipsed' Trapped by the Brutality of the Liberian Civil War

Danai Gurira is recognized for her role as Michonne on AMC's "The Walking Dead," but she's also a playwright. Her show "Eclipsed" stars Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o and is now on Broadway after a successful run last year at the Public Theater. Gurira and director Liesl Tommy discuss "Eclipsed," which takes place during the Liberian Civil War in a rebel compound and focuses on a group of women surviving amid brutal violence.
Event: "Eclipsed" is playing at the John Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street). For tickets and show information, visit the show's website.
