Week one of the two-week U.N. climate change summit in Paris may be coming to an end, but the representatives at the conference are just getting started.

Over the past few days, delegates at COP21 have tackled fossil fuel divestment—institutions and thousands of individuals worth $3.4 trillion are pledging to stop spending on fossil fuels. Plans to boost clean energy in Africa was also a big winner at the summit, along with an announcement that the U.S. will pledge $30 million to the countries most vulnerable to the effects of climate change.

But the global leaders at the summit are not exactly members of the next generation—the people that are actually going to have to deal with the impacts of the decisions made in Paris.

Six young international correspondents serving as fellows with The GroundTruth Project are in Paris covering the biggest story of their generation. Here, two of the fellows, Justine Calma and Chris Bentley, speak about their experience from Paris.

The Takeaway was also joined by Charlie Sennott, the founder of the GroundTruthProject and the co-founder of The Global Post from WGBH in Boston. He just landed in Boston after being on the ground in Paris all week.
