A dollar, decoupage and a dream. My theme: Deconstructionist Beauty---If Picasso Were Serving Tea.
Could this simple wooden tray on clearance at the craft store give birth to a statement making yet useful work of art? In the spirit of the season, I chose to believe.
Several hours later, a hand inflamed with Carpel-Tunnel and a living room which looked as if Vogue, Elle and Roaman’s catalogue premiered the fall fashions while paying the price for bad sushi, I had created the twisted splendor you see here. As a side note, the tray is well shellacked and would hold Tim Burton’s cocoa and cookies quite nicely.
