How to Listen to WNYC on Your Smart Speaker

Ask Alexa for WNYC and Our Other Stations
To hear WNYC live, say:
“Alexa, play WNYC-FM”
If you want to hear our music stations:
"Alexa, play WQXR"
"Alexa, play WQXR's American Standards"
"Alexa, play Operavore"
“Alexa, play WQXR Holiday Channel”
Add the WNYC Skill to your Alexa
Getting the WNYC Alexa skill is another way to get our stations live on your smart speaker.
You can enable the skill for Alexa here or ask your Alexa to enable WNYC (say, “Alexa, enable the WNYC skill”). If you’re having trouble enabling the skill, you can get help here.
After you enable the skill, all you have to do to hear the live stream of any of our stations is ask WNYC to play the station you want. For example:
If you want to hear WNYC live say:
“Alexa, ask WNYC to play WNYC-FM”
“Alexa, ask WNYC to play WNYC-AM”
If you want to hear our live music stations:
“Alexa, ask WNYC to play WQXR”
“Alexa, ask WNYC to play American Standards”
“Alexa, ask WNYC to play New Sounds”
If you want to hear NJPR:
“Alexa, ask WNYC to play New Jersey Public Radio”
The next time you ask your speaker to play WNYC it will play the last station you played unless you specify a new station.
