What have you read or seen lately (book, play, film, etc.) that moved or surprised you?

Lena Dunham’s movie Tiny Furniture, and Sam Taylor Wood’s Nowhere Boy, both wonderful films made by women. Sam Taylor Wood is an artist, and Lena Dunham grew up in an artist family.

What are you listening to right now?

The poets Leslie Scalapino and James Fenton, and musicians Ryan Bingham and Bach.
