Everett Bradley's Holidelic
"Santa Bring the Funk"

Playing at: Joe’s Pub (425 Lafayette St., East Village)
Info: Tickets ($25) | Directions

Billed as a "funk-rock alternative to the Rockettes," Holidelic is a Christmas spectacular that many people can get on board with. It's led by Everett Bradley, a multi-faceted and unquestionably funky performer whose credentials include directing STOMP in New York, having a hit single in the U.K., and playing percussion for David Bowie. These days, he's developing a one-man musical called EV/OLUTION, and is bringing some Christmas grooves to Joe's Pub. Download "Santa Bring the Funk" here, a Parliament-style freak-funk that entreats Santa Claus to drop some funk down the chimney. If you still want more, check out Holidelic's "Sleigh Ride" and "Santa Claus is Coming to Town"--two holiday favorites reformulated for the dancefloor.
