Bernie Worrell, the great "Wizard of WOO," will be laying down the funk-fused, jazz-spun and jam-band brash like only he can Sunday night at Joe’s Pub. A piano prodigy at the age of three, the keyboardist and composer has gone on to influence a staggering number of musicians across genres since his time as musical director of Parliament/Funkadelic back in the late 60’s. Since then, Worrell has continued to release critically acclaimed music. At this event, he’ll be performing with his current outfit SociaLybrium alongside bassist Melvin Gibbs, drummer J.T. Lewis, and guitarist Ronny Drayton.
