On Sunday, the country's biggest world music festival happened at Webster Hall in the East Village. Thirteen bands on three stages played to a packed house of fans, festival bookers and performing arts professionals for nearly six straight hours. This year, large dance bands from Latin America, the Caribbean and Africa dominated the festival. Many of the bands will, if all goes to plan, get lucrative bookings for years to come.
