Despite a week of bad reviews, "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark" has done well in the past week on Broadway.

New numbers out on Monday from The Broadway League show that gross ticket revenues for "Spider-Man" are up more than 2 percent compared to the previous week. Last week, the producers of the musical made $1,330,014 compared to the $1,297,283 they raked in during the previous week ending on Feb. 6. The number of audience members who attended the performance in the last week—14,449—was also up 9 percent from 13,097.

Theater critics nationwide panned Julie Taymor's troubled musical last Monday, calling it everything from a "shrill, insipid mess" (The Washington Post) to a "frenetic Broadway jumble" (L.A. Times).

The $65 million show with a score by U2's Bono and The Edge is scheduled to officially open on March 15.
