Flood Watch Still in Effect for Some NJ Rivers

WNYC News | Mar 14, 2011

A flood warning remains in effect for the Passaic River at Little Falls and Pine Brook, following extensive flooding in parts of the state over the weekend due to heavy rain. Both areas experienced flooding.

According to the National Weather Service, the warning indicates that "flooding is occurring or imminent" in those areas. Forecasters add that the rivers are expected to recede below the flood stage by Wednesday night.

A flood warning in effect earlier on Monday for the Wanaque River at Wanaque Dam in northeastern New Jersey has been canceled.
