Side 2:
American Federation of Musicians (Local 802) jazz concert with Art Hodes, Ruby Smith, and John Parker

Lead Belly performs his songs "Good Morning Blues," "Ain't Gonna Let You Worry My Life No More," and "Pretty Papa." They mention a planned tour of France that Leadbelly was set to embark upon.

Jazz musicologist Charles Delaunay introduces jazz pianist Joe Sullivan. Sullivan introduces his performance of Fats Waller's "Honeysuckle Rose," then performs his own "Gin Mill Blues."

Side 4:
An unknown jazz group, fronted by John "Knotty" Parker, performs Jelly Roll Morton's songs "Dead Man Blues," and "Kansas City Stomp." He is interviewed by Delaunay about his time at Columbia University.

Ruby Smith, niece and protege of famed blues singer Bessie Smith, performs three songs with Lonnie Scott at piano, Gus Aiken on trumpet, and two others - "Nobody Knows You When You're Down and Out" and "Backwater Blues" in the style of Bessie Smith and "Hit That Jive Jack," in her own style.

Side 5;
The Johnny Windhurst Quintet performs "Somebody Love's Me" and "I May Be Wrong."

Brownie McGhee performs an unknown blues number and "Boogie Blues."
