From the late 1940s to the early ‘70s, New York-based Tikva Records catered to a wide variety of tastes among Jewish Americans, releasing music from icons Eddie Cantor and Leo Fuchs, plus garage rock, funk, klezmer and more. Music preservationist Josh Kun joins us to talk about a new collection called "Songs for the Jewish-American Jet Set: The Tikva Records Story 1950-1973."
