Colombian roots meets city living in the energetic, rock-inflected jazz of Sebastián Cruz and the Cheap Landscape Trio. The electric guitarist and composer formed the New York-based group in 2008 to explore his identity as a Colombian New Yorker and the friction produced when his native country's musical traditions “[rub] against elements of urban New York City life (multi-cultural mesh, recycling, discarding, minor epiphanies, and major cacophonies).”
