Early next year, Gotham Gazette will launch an unprecedented tool for untangling the influence of money on city politics. Councilpedia, which received generous seed funding from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, will bring together in one site information about city elected officials and how they receive and spend money. Councilpedia will track officials' sponsored legislation, member items, campaign expenditures and campaign contributions.
