M. Ward: In Studio

Soundcheck | May 8, 2012

In recent years, M. Ward has come to be known as a masterful collaborator and producer. The Portland-based singer and songwriter teamed up with Zooey Deschanel for the project She & Him… and with Conor Oberst and Jim James for the guitar-wielding supergroup Monsters of Folk. But all along, he’s built a quiet arsenal of solo recordings. The latest is called “A Wasteland Companion.” We’ll learn more when M. Ward performs live.

Watch M. Ward's animated video for his song "The First Time I Ran Away" (directed by Joel Trussell) below.
