Over the past five years, keyboardist Marco Benevento has composed buoyant, jazz-rooted instrumentals that have drawn on indie rock, experimental music and jam band influences. His music has also mixed in circuit-bending, among other electronic touches.

On his forthcoming album TigerFace, which is due out in September, Benevento throws a new element into his work: vocals. The tune “This Is How It Goes" -- which features Kalmia Traver of the dance rock outfit Rubblebucket and is available for download above -- is Benevento’s first song to feature vocals.
