Today on Soundcheck, guest host Chris Bannon takes a look at some very different kinds of music with some very different types of musicians. First, Burt Lucarelli, one of the finest American oboe soloists, will be playing live in the studio and talking about his work this summer at ConnecticutÂ’s Music Mountain, the oldest continuing Summer Chamber Music Festival in the United States. Also todayÂ’s show, Luther Wright and the Wrongs, a self-proclaimed alt-country punkgrass band, which is best known for their bluegrass version of Pink FloydÂ’s The Wall, entitled Rebuild The Wall. Plus, WNYCÂ’s Kerry Nolan has a CD review.
