As a child, Malian singer-songwriter Rokia Traoré absorbed the musical traditions of her Bamana heritage alongside those of the countries to which she traveled. She has also collaborated with the Kronos Quartet and been called the most adventurous African artist around. She joins us to discuss her latest album, “Tchamantché”, and to perform live.
