The 46 Seconds When Non-White Actors Speak In 'Lord Of The Rings'

How long would your favorite movie be if it were cut down to include only the lines spoken by people of color? Dylan Marron has discovered that in the cases of epic movies like those in the Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter series, which are all over two hours long, the dialogue spoken by non-white actors takes up mere seconds. Marron calls attention to the lack of substantial speaking roles for people of color on Every Single Word, a Tumblr site that features edited down versions of popular films.
