Mark Bittman previews some of the more than 1,000 recipes he’s collected for his latest cookbook: The Best Recipes in the World. The book features dishes from 44 countries, and places as much emphasis on Asian cuisine as European. In addition to recipes from France, Italy, and Spain, the book includes everyday food items from South America, Russia, North Africa, and the Middle East.
