From the New Sounds Live concert series, host John Schaefer presents the California E.A.R. Unit, the longtime leaders of the new music scene on the West Coast. Currently celebrating its 20th anniversary season, the group appeared in February at Merkin Concert Hall in an eclectic program. Highlights include Frederic Rzewski's seminal Coming Together, John Adams' effective Road Movies, John Bergamo's riotous Foreign Objects, and James Sellar's accurately titled GO.
