#2049: Program #2049

New Sounds | May 24, 2010
June is normally a quiet month in the music business. Summer festivals haven't yet started and the so-called regular season has taken its final bow. This year, however, New Yorkers can look forward to the annual Bang on a Can Marathon (June 15 at Symphony Space), and for this edition of New Sounds, we feature selections of past performances by this trailblazing new-music organization. On tap are arrangements of rock songs by Brian Eno, Nirvana, and Steppenwolf, plus Michael Gordon's "I Buried Paul."
