Obama to Appear at Corzine Rally

New York, NY —

For the second time in the campaign, President Obama is in New Jersey to lend his star power to Governor Jon Corzine. WNYC's Bob Hennelly is there and has this report:

HENNELLY: The energy is electric with anticipation for President Obama's appearance. Close to 3,500 Democrats are filling the Fairleigh Dickinson University's Athletic Center. Many of the attendees got tickets to the rally as a consolation for being wait-listed for President Obama's summer appearance at the PNC Center in Holmdel, when 17,000 people packed that facility. The President’s appearance comes as Governor Corzine is locked in a statistical dead heat with his Republican challenger Chris Christie. For WNYC in Hackensack I am Bob Hennelly.
