Vance Wins in DA Primary, Runoffs in Comptroller and Public Advocate

WNYC News | Jul 12, 2010

Cyrus Vance, Jr., won the nomination for Manhattan District Attorney. Since there's no Republican running for that office, he's all but ensured being elected in November.

The races for Public Advocate and City Comptroller will have to be decided in a run-off election, because no candidate garnered the minimum 40 percent required in city-wide elections.

In the Public Advocate race, Bill deBlasio and Mark Green will face off. In the Comptroller race...it'll be John Liu and David Yassky.

The run-off is set for Tuesday, September 29th.
