Strahan Retires from Giants After 15 Years

WNYC News | Jul 12, 2010

New York Giants defensive end Michael Strahan says he decided to end his pro football career because he didn't have it in him to get ready for another season.

STRAHAN: After 15 years I just don't feel, I feel it takes just a toll to get to that point. I've done it for 15, can't muster it up to do it one more time.

REPORTER: Strahan held a farewell news conference today. Giants head coach Tom Coughlin praised Strahan for his attitude and work ethic.
