Bloomberg Mum on His Presidential Pick

WNYC News | Jul 12, 2010

For months Mayor Michael Bloomberg let speculation build about a possible independent bid for the presidency.

Now he is back at building suspense but this time it was about which candidate he might support in the fall.

BLOOMBERG: We all pick our candidates based on instinct as much as anything else. You can rest assured that next November I will go to the polls and will vote for one of the two major party candidates and I may or may not share with others depending on how I feel at the time.

REPORTER: Bloomberg had words of high praise for Hillary Clinton but would not speculate on what the New York senator’s next move should be.

The mayor did make recent joint appearances with both Sen. Barack Obama and Sen. John McCain.
