Bloomberg Claims Gun Lawsuit Victory

A Georgia gun dealer agreed to have its sales monitored.

The decision came a day before a trial was to begin, as the dealer, Adventure Outdoors had earlier rejected the terms of a lawsuit.

Ken Taber is a lawyer with Pillsbury Winthrop, which had represented the city.

He said the last-minute decision by the dealer was due to the substantial evidence of illegal gun sales it had conducted, and the likelihood that a jury would not have been sympathetic.

WINTHROP: And it was clear from the responses on that questionnaire that a large number of the jurors were very concerned, or I should say prospective jurors were very concerned about the kinds of gun violence issues that would've been in front of the court on this case.

REPORTER: This is the 21st gun dealer to agree to a court-appointed monitor.

Adventure Outdoors has not responded to calls for comment.
