WNYC News | Jul 12, 2010

At an emotional press conference at City Hall yesterday, Mayor Bloomberg announced his deputy mayor who's been the architect for this administration's long-term vision for New York City is leaving.

Dan Doctoroff has overseen economic development during one of the city's biggest building booms. He's going back to the financial world to become president of the mayor's media firm, Bloomberg LP. Soterios Johnson talked to Deputy Mayor Doctoroff this morning and asked him to say which of the many re-zonings he's worked on would be the most significant for the city.
