Major Endorsement for McCain

The chairman of the federal 9/11 commission is endorsing John McCain for president, not former mayor Rudolph Giuliani.
REPORTER: Former New Jersey Governor Thomas Kean, a Republican, says McCain's blend of congressional, military and foreign affairs experience makes him the best GOP candidate for the job.
KEAN: I haven't endorsed a person for president since 1988. 'Cause I generally stay out of primaries. But the more I thought about this one, the more I thought I couldn't stay out of it.
REPORTER: McCain reveled in the endorsement, noting Kean joins a group of supporters that includes former Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge and 4 former secretaries of state. Giuliani routinely cites his handling of 9/11 as proof that he's the most qualified candidate. The former mayor has the support of Kean's son, State Senator Tom Kean Jr.
