New York, NY —
Governor Elliot Spitzer is not bending in his support of his top aide, Rich Baum despite some concern among other Democrats that Baum's role in the trooper spy scandal is hurting the administration.
SPITZER: I have said since the very beginning I have absolute confidence in Rich and I've said that over and over again.
REPORTER: An attorney general report said Baum received email messages from other staff members about their efforts to plant negative media stories on Senate Leader Joe Bruno's use of state aircraft. Baum says he didn't know anything improper was being done, and remains Spitzer's top advisor.
