Bloomberg Does Jury Duty

WNYC News | Jul 12, 2010

Mayor Bloomberg spent a day serving jury duty today, but hardly as an average citizen, he was asked for autographs, sketched by courtroom artists and greeted personally by the judge and attorneys.

He was also the only prospective juror at State Supreme Court in Lower Manhattan dressed in a suit, and trailed by security officials and press officers. The mayor was questioned by attorneys picking a jury for an asbestos litigation lawsuit, but he was not selected.

He’ll report back tomorrow to continue his jury duty service.
