Voices in Conflict

WNYC News | Jul 12, 2010

Earlier this spring, while some teens were coping with senioritis and worrying about what to wear to the prom, a group of theater students at Wilton High in Connecticut were battling what some were calling censorship. Voices in Conflict is a set of monologues based on the words of American soldiers and Iraqis. Wilton High school officials banned a production of the play this spring, but it’s being presented tomorrow in a free performance at the Public Theater. Alisa Solomon, a longtime theater critic, joined Amy Eddings to discuss the production.
