BAAD's not Bad at All

10 years ago Arthur Aviles was a rising star with the celebrated Bill T. Jones Dance company and an award winning choreographer. He could have had the kind of career most dancers these days only dream about. Instead he gave it up to form a community dance center in the Bronx. Today, his dance company, Arthur Aviles Typical Theatre, is celebrating ten years at BAAD – the Bronx Academy of Arts and Dance. And things don’t seem to have gone badly at all. Dance critic Claudia LaRocco joined Amy Eddings to discuss Aviles' mission.
