Bush Visits New Jersey

Hoping to reverse a losing streak, New Jersey Republicans are bringing out their party's highest ranking member - President Bush. He drops by the Garden State this afternoon. This is despite his national approval rating of 35% and a recent Quinnipiac poll that has his New Jersey approval rating at 25%.

State Republicans say Bush can still bring out the party faithful, especially those with deep pockets. Democrats have raised $17 million for this year's legislative elections, while Republicans' have collected $7.5 million, according to filings with the state's Election Law Enforcement Commission. New Jersey Democrats and labor organizations have come out against the President's visit.
