New York’s Annual Memorial Day Celebration Kicks Off

Thousands of sailors, marines and coast guardsmen will be hitting city streets over the next week, as the 20th annual Fleet Week gets underway.
REPORTER: Lance Corporal Eliny Rodriguez, a native of Springfield Gardens, Queens, says that after 8 months in the Marine Corps, she's in for a different mission back home in the Big Apple.
RODRIGUEZ: I'm the tour guide for now...like yeah, I dunno where to go, so I'll be the one showing people the subways cos you know how complicated that could be.
REPORTER: Rodriguez arrived at Pier 90 in Manhattan with the USS Wasp, one of six warships that will open to the public beginning tomorrow. Most of the ships are docked in Staten Island.
