WNYC News | Jul 12, 2010

Presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani is selling off the investment banking arm of his consulting firm to an Australian company. The terms of the deal, between Giuliani Capital Advisors and Macquarie Group, were not disclosed.

An official at Giuliani Partners, the former mayor's consulting firm, says the sale will give Giuliani more time to focus on his presidential candidacy. The former mayor's business interests are getting a closer look as he runs for president. He leads several national polls for the Republican nomination.
