Terror Pals to Appear in Federal Court

A Florida doctor and a self-described martial arts expert from the Bronx are each due in federal court today to answer charges that they wanted to build an al-Qaida cell in New York.

Prosecutors say Doctor Rafiq Abdus Sabir and Tarik Shah were arrested Friday for conspiring to provide material support to al-Qaida. The 50-year-old Sabir and 42-year-old Shah are to appear today in federal courthouses in Miami and Manhattan.
