Children With Disabilities In Foster Care

Children with disabilities are considered among the hardest cases to place in foster care. Many of these children have serious illnesses like cerebral palsy, or birth defects that require extensive medical treatment. New York City has been finding more homes for these children over the past few years. But officials say there still aren’t enough foster parents to meet the demand. WNYC’s Beth Fertig has more.
