A window of opportunity for undocumented immigrants will close in a week, and advocates are working fervently in New York to make sure everyone understands whether and how they can take advantage. A temporary law called the LIFE ACT allows immigrants living here illegally to apply for a greencard WITHOUT having to return to their countries of origin. But as WNYC?s Marianne McCune reports, the process is complex, and full of pitfalls.
