Brazilian performer Seu Jorge may be best known in the U.S. for his appearances in films. He played a gangster in the 2002 film “City of God”, and two years later, he enchanted audiences with his stripped-down Portugese renditions of David Bowie songs in “The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou”.

On his new album, Jorge continues to create fearless interpretations of songs – from artists like Germany’s legendary electronic group Kraftwerk to Brazil’s own Jorge Ben. Seu Jorge joins us today in advance of his appearance this weekend at Terminal 5 in New York.
